Nigerian singer Oxlade is on the brink of global stardom with his new project, Oxlade From Africa. In a recent interview, he emphasized the cultural significance of Afrobeats, declaring, “Afrobeats is who we are. It’s the trends, the fashion, what we eat. It’s an identity.”

Born Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman in Lagos, Oxlade's journey to success has been marked by resilience. After losing his mother at just three years old, he pursued music in the late 2010s, leaving university to follow his passion. His powerful falsetto quickly caught the attention of industry giants, earning him collaborations with artists like Drake and opportunities to perform alongside icons such as Davido and WizKid.


Oxlade's breakout EP, Oxygene, featured the hit “Away,” which showcased his unique sound and emotional depth. His subsequent single, “Ku Lo Sa,” took the world by storm, particularly after his electrifying performance on A Colors Show, which has amassed over 100 million views.
